Archie J. Smalls, Sr. is an author, craftsman, and businessman whose life exemplifies faith, tenacity, and a strong belief in the value of maintaining concentration.  He was up in the little South Carolina community of Moncks Corner, where African Americans had few chances.  Archie decided to forge a new route because he grew up in a setting where many goals were dashed due to a lack of resources.  He chose to demonstrate that perseverance and faith could overcome barriers rather than accept those limitations.  That attitude served him well in sales, carpentry, and eventually writing, and it continues to be the central theme of all of his creations.
